True to its mission, the Bacollywood Workshops has consistently been running for 4 years and has a line-up of instructors coming from the film industry of the Philippines. Its aim is to provide quality and affordable education in field of cinema through the help of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the generous instructors that are willing to share their expertise in their specialized fields.

The summer of 2014 (April 21- May 17), BW will cater to students who cannot afford to go to Manila to learn filmmaking. Scholarships are available to interested individuals who are really interested in learning film production, make up for stage and film, Theater Improvisations, Digital Photography, Cinematography, Childrens and Teen Acting.

After the workshops BW will segue into the 6th BACOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL (May 19-24, 2014). Another direction into educating audiences through the Baranggay screenings of Filipino Independent and International films. An alternative cinema that goes to the basic structure of the Filipino society.

MANA in Bacolod City

Mana a film by Gabby Fernandez will be screen in Bacolod on March 19-25, 2014. The film reflects the present social and political status of the Philippines. Utilizing family, film, and folklore as a medium to reflect the events that happened in the past and the present. It is a fiction but all fictions are based on reality. It also reflects the basic structure of the Philippine society, the family and how it copes up with situations that shakes its foundation.
